Pick A Little Talk A Lot

I read on buzzsugar.com that “Michael Clayton” is being released again later this month. If you didn’t see this movie last fall in its first release, don’t miss it. Apparently it is at the top of numerous critics list (Golden Globe & BAFTA nominations) and it was at the top of mine. George Clooney, Tilda Swinton and Tom Wilkinson all give superb performances but apparently no one saw it!! I saw it at the Angelika in Soho sipping a cappucino (which always makes every movie more enjoyable to me!) Let me know what you think if you saw it and if you haven’t check it out later this month.

One of the most enjoyable things about New York is how there is always a so-called “secret” place (that, of course, everyone actually knows about) where all the stars of stage and screen and other members of the “in crowd” hang out. The current in-spot is the Waverly Inn in the West Village. Mandy Stadtmiller wrote about it in the New York Post article “Secret Scene of ‘Inn’ Crowd! (Pun intended) Graydon Carter of Vanity Fair is one of the owners of this latest difficult to get into (no phone for reservations or actually a phone but they don’t give out the number) and even harder to “get a good table at” place. If you want star sightings it is the place to be lately! Of course, by the time the restaurant is officially open the “stars” will have moved on!

Erica Palgon, Casting Director at Liz Lewis Casting is off to Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of Great World of Sound, a film that she cast. Also, Kim Miscia and Beth Bowling of Bowling Miscia Casting cast Delirious starring Steve Buscemi and Michael Pitt, which is also at Sundance. Congrats to them and to the other New York Casting Directors, Directors, Actors and others with work at Sundance this year.
